Seems like a good time to re-instate my own blog on my own website. Everything is insane and I have too much to say to burst on here with all of it in one post. It's all too much. Sticking to one subject today: the fire.

I live 5 miles from the Eaton Fire and I saw the mountain go up in flames out my window as I wrestled with my door that had blown off in the 90mph wind. A branch broke through the studio window after we stopped recording, among other things that didn't matter once the fires started. I'd like to take the time to write my full account of that day at some point, but for now I'll just say (I'm fine and) Altadena, the town that burned down in the Eaton Fire, was one of the coolest parts of LA. It's where I actually wanted to live. Foothills of the mountains, big old trees and wooden craftstman houses. It was a working class, historically Black, artist neighborhood. Many of my friends lived there. The entire town is gone.

I want to highlight some friends of mine and others who are accepting support.

*adding my friend Chris Cosgrove who just launched his a little after everybody else. Chris is a musician, producer, and audio engineer. https://gofund.me/1fdedaca

Bryn Carter, my BFF who is wardrobe stylist who always lends me things for videos, photos, etc. In fact, she lent me the black suit I wore on the cover of Spectra, and that suit burned up in the fire, along with her house, everything she owned, countless costumes, and my water bottle that I had been meaning to grab.

Sam Gezari, my great friend, a photographer and cinematographer. He filmed my videos for "The Natural World," "What About That Day," and "Opposite Island." His partner Schentell was also there behind the scenes on the Natural World shoot. Their house actually DIDN'T burn, but it is now toxic, and they have an asthmatic baby and it's just a whole nightmare and they need support as they navigate staying away.

This is the gofundme of a woman named Rosa who I don't know but she's underfunded, let's help her out. https://gofund.me/2fbb2aa3

This is a spreadsheet of affected musicians and music industry folks. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1jyJ-NM2qP-iRk1LJ8l3dc7e0M3IhHlo3E7Agvo9JOAQ/edit?gid=0#gid=0

If you are interested and or able.

More "blogging" to come.

Performing at this little CLIMATE FEST in LA on Sept 30 and psyched about it. I'm not ready with the futurism tunes I'm working on but trying to get a couple finished by next weekend. Will have to play some love songs too. I'll spend the next 6 months writing about drawdown and regeneration.

Wind down the combustion of fossil fuels and regenerate ecosystems so they can absorb the carbon and methane we've already emitted. Quickly. Got it! See ya there.
